Do I need the app to use TimeEd, or can I just use the web?

You don't need the app to use TimeEd. All key features are also accessible through the web, so you can choose whether to use the app, the web, or both. We offer apps for both iPhone and Android.

Which accounting systems can be connected to TimeEd?

We can connect TimeEd to the accounting systems Payday, DK, Uniconta, H-Laun, and Regla. Contact us for more information about integrations and technical solutions.

What happens when I connect an accounting system to TimeEd?

By connecting an accounting system to TimeEd, you save time, avoid double entries, and ensure that your client list and data are always correct and up to date in both systems. You can send completed work hours and invoices directly from TimeEd to the accounting system, and the system also ensures that completed hours are never invoiced twice.

How does GPS work in TimeEd?

GPS in TimeEd is only activated if the user agrees to let the app use their location. Employee location is only recorded when they start and finish tasks or time tracking, not while time tracking is in progress.

Can managers track employee location in real time?

Accepted Answer

No, managers cannot see employee location in real time or outside of work. GPS location is only recorded at the start and end of a task or time clock entry, and only if the user has already approved GPS access in the app.

How are security and privacy ensured in TimeEd?

All processing of personal data complies with the Icelandic Data Protection Act no. 90/2018. Data is encrypted, stored on secure servers, and backed up daily, and procedures follow the latest standards in information technology.

What happens to my data if I stop using TimeEd?

Under the Icelandic Workplace Registration Act no. 28/2023, an employee has access to their time records for 12 months after their employment ends or the subscription is cancelled. After that, the data is deleted unless other legislation, such as data protection or accounting laws, requires longer retention.
